MPC named the IPP of the year for the second time

MPC has again won the “Independent Power Producer of the Year” award this year organized by Asian Power Magazine in recognition of its outstanding achievement and performance in 2009.

“The global financial turmoil has been challenging over the last year and had no doubt created a difficult situation for the energy business in general. MPC has distinguished itself by remaining profitable and competitive amid the crisis, and even seized the opportunities to grow and expand in this period of entrenchment.” said Mr. Tim Charlton, the publisher and chief editor of the Magazine.

Accepting the awards at the presentation ceremony, Manuel Perez, CEO of MPC said, “We are proud to have received this prestigious award as this reflects MPC’s success in leveraging its leading position as the Partner of Choice in the power industry.
