Fuel Cell Project MPC's wholly owned company in Korea, Meiya Yulchon Generation Co Ltd (MYGEN) has recently launched a 4.8MW fuel cell project in the Yulchon plant site. The fuel cell plant will consist of two 2.4MW of molten carbonate fuel cells using clean natural gas as fuel. Fuel cell is an electrochemical device that converts hydrogen and oxygen into electricity and heat. Yulchon is in a unique position to fully take advantage of the favourable support from the government as we have the land available for the expansion, gas supply already in place, as well as the technical personnel to oversee the construction and operation of the project. This fuel cell plant will enable us to continue our trend to invest in enviro-friendly projects. |
